Chelsea join Arsenal in race for PSG star

Chelsea are reportedly set to have a bidding war with league rivals Arsenal for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer.

The Argentine had been linked with a switch to the Premier League in the past few days, with Arsenal considered front-runner to secure his services.

However, Le 10 Sport claims that London rivals Chelsea will join the race for the former Napoli man and will make a bid in the region of £18m for the 29-year-old.

The report also claims that the two clubs, who had a deal done for David Luiz earlier this summer, began negoatiations over Lavezzi on Friday.
