Arsenal open talks for Colombian star
Arsenal are believed to have opened talks with FC Porto over the availability of striker Jackson Martinez.
The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is understood to be keen on signing up a top-class striker this summer, as he aims to provide sufficient competition upfront for Olivier Giroud.
According to Metro, the Gunners who have been tracking Martinez at the World Cup, have contacted the Primiera Liga giants over the player and are ready to offer a fee in the region of £20m for his services.
However, it is understood that Porto are unlikely to allow the Colombian's departure for anything less than £35m.
.Martinez has scored 60 goals in 89 appearances for Porto so far.
