Greek defender to Arsenal?
Arsenal are reportedly in pursuit of Greek defender Konstantinos Manolas as a replacement for outgoing Thomas Vermaelen.
Vermaelen is understood to be leaving for Manchester United at a price of £11 million.
Manolas, who plays for Olympiakos, had an impressive run in the World Cup with Greece reaching the Round of 16, losing to Costa Rica in that round. Kostas Manolas also played exceptionally for Olympiakos with the Greek club reaching the Round of 16 of the Champions League and lost to Manchester United due to a Robin van Persie hattrick in the second leg.
Manolas is currently valued at £8 million.
Manchester United too have set their sights on the talented defender to bolster their defense.
Arsenal also reportedly have a good relationship with Olympiakos after loaning Costa Rican star striker Joel Campbell to them for last season.
