Mathieu Debuchy completes Arsenal medical

Newcastle United defender Mathieu Debuchy has reportedly undergone a successful medical at Arsenal, ahead of his proposed transfer to the club this summer.

The talented right-back who plyed his trade for the French national side during the World Cup finals in Brazil, was claimed to have agreed on a switch to the North London club over the past week.

According to Goal.com, personal terms over Debuchy's contract will be discussed over the weekend having completed a medical, and the former Lille man looks likely to be unveiled as the club's first signing of the summer.

The report also claims that Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell could be offered on a season-long loan as part of the proposed £7.9m deal.
