Kroos to Real Madrid?

German legend Franz Beckenbauer has revealed that Manchester United target Toni Kroos will be joining Real Madrid from Bayern Munich this summer.

The 24-year-old's current contract with the German giants was going to expire in 2015 and he has reportedly failed to agree on a new deal at the Allianz Arena sending clear signals that he would be leaving the Bundesliga champions this season.

The club will have to sell the talented player this transfer season or face losing him on a free transfer in a year's time.

The German midfielder is currently at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with the squad preparing for the final of the tournament against Argentina on Sunday.

Kroos has been impressive with his performances this World Cup and is a key player in the successful Joachim Loew’s coached side. He scored twice during the 7-1 semifinal rout against Brazil and also have been named on FIFA’s 10-man shortlist for Player of the Tournament.

Madrid are ready to shell out the required amount for the player with Manchester United bowing out of the race to sign him.

With Kroos' arrival, Argentine Di Maria's position in the Madrid squad has become insecure with Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to sign him.
