Man Utd eye shock move for Colombian star

Manchester United are reportedly set to make a mega-offer for the services of James Rodriguez from AS Monaco this summer.

The Colombian international had an excellent spell with the national side at the World Cup, where he scored six goals in five games, thus eventually winning the Golden Boot.

According to The Express, the Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is keen on adding a couple more signings this summer. In addition to this, reports in Spain reveal that the Mancunian giants have reached an agreement with Rodriguez's agent with a fee in the region of £63m being proposed.

However, Real Madrid remain front-runners to sign Rodriguez, after the 22-year-old revealed of his desire to join the La Liga giants a fortnight ago.
