Brazilian midfielder Casemiro will look to prove his class at Porto after joining the Portuguese club on a year-long loan from Real Madrid.

Porto could activate an option to make his deal permanent if he impresses in the Portuguese league.

The 22-year-old came to the Santiago Bernabéu at the start of 2013 from São Paulo FC. Last season, he played in 11 league games, ten of them as a substitute, and he played in six matches in the Champions League as Carlo Ancelotti's side became the European champions, though he did not make the bench for the final.

The 22-year-old failed to find the net for the Spanish giants last season and will hope to enjoy first-team starts at the Portuguese club.

Porto enter the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League in the play-off round while Madrid are already sure of their place in the group stage.

Porto have recruited extensively with the likes of Adrian Lopez and Bruno Martins Indi also moving to the club on permanent deals.
