Ron Vlaar to move to Southampton as Lovren replacement?

Southampton will look to sign Dutch defender Ron Vlaar as a replacement for Dejan Lovren. Vlaar, currently at Aston Villa, wants to leave Villa Park for a chance at a bigger Premier League club.

Vlaar has been linked with a whole host of other teams but is said to be most interested in a move to Ronald Koeman's club.

Dejan Lovren is on the verge of completing a move to Liverpool tomorrow, with the Croatian set to sign a five year contract at Brendan Rodgers' side. Vlaar is therefore due to head to Southampton for talks this week and the Saints are confident that a deal can be agreed for the centre back.
