Samuel Eto'o in talks with Ajax

Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam are locked in talks with Cameroon international forward Samuel Eto'o. The striker, who played at Chelsea last season, had been linked with a return to West Ham.

The forward is apparently in the Netherlands now discussing the terms of a potential deal; with the Dutch club looking to offer the experienced striker a two year contract.

Ajax coach Frank De Boer had been forced to sell some of his best players, with Siem De Jong departing the club for Newcastle earlier in the transfer window thus leaving the Dutch club short in the attacking department.

A deal will be announced next week after Eto'o undergoes a medical on Monday.
