Arsenal to seal deal for Atletico star?

Arsenal could reportedly make a bid to sign one of Belgium's best this summer, according to The Mirror.

The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well aware of the fact that the club are short at the back, following the departure of Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona earlier this summer.

A report from the Mirror suggests that the North London club will jump at the opportunity of securing the services of Atleti centre-back Toby Alderweireld before the conclusion of the transfer window.

In addition to this, the Belgian defender is believed to be keen on a switch away from Vicente Calderon, as he is unlikely to get sufficient gametime at the Spanish Champions.
