Angel Di Maria edges closer to Man Utd move

Argentina international Angel Di Maria has moved a step closer to a move to Manchester United last night, after the winger was reportedly seen arriving in the city for talks with Louis van Gaal and club directors.

Di Maria is on the verge of agreeing a mega money deal to join United from Real Madrid worth approximately 48 million pounds and will sign a five year contract at Old Trafford. United have been under pressure to bring in new faces with the transfer window soon set to close and Louis van Gaal has plumped for the talented forward. 

Di Maria last week reportedly turned down Real Madrid's most recent contract offer, suggesting that he would be heading for a new club. After the Spanish side completed a move for James Rodriguez, Di Maria's long term future at the 2014 Champions League winners came into question.

With just a little over a week left of the transfer window remaining, United are desperate to wrap up any final deals and Di Maria will become the club's most expensive transfer in history.
