Sunderland to wrap up deal for Sam Byram
Sunderland manager Gus Poyet will announce the arrival of highly rated youngster Sam Byram this week. The Uruguayan coach admitted that the full back is still on his radar.
Leeds United and Sunderland have been locked in talks over a transfer fee for Byram and it appears there has been some progress made in discussions as Poyet agreed a 5.5 million pounds fee for the player.
Poyet told reporters of his pursuit of Byram: "He's a player we like and I've known him for a long time. Like young English players, sometimes they are a little bit too expensive."
