Man Utd to wrap up deal for Angel Di Maria

Manchester United are to smash the British transfer record to complete a move for Angel Di Maria. The Argentina international will arrive at Old Trafford for a fee of around 72.5 million euros with a further 8 million euros in add-ons.

The player, who is set to agree a five year contract at Old Trafford, handed in a transfer request last week after hearing of the interest of Man Utd. The gifted playmaker remains Louis Van Gaal's top transfer target before the transfer window closes.

The midfielder will undergo a medical at his new club sometime on Wednesday afternoon and be unveiled as a United player later in the evening.
