Di Maria completes Man United move
Argentine international Angel Di Maria has finally completed his much talked about move to Manchester United today.
The 26-year-old has joined the Old Trafford outfit in a British-record £59.7 million transfer on a five-year contract from Real Madrid.
The winger flew in from Spain last night to undergo his medical at United's Carrington training complex ahead of his much speculated transfer to England.
The former Benfica player, who left the Portuguese club to join the Whites in 2010, has made 124 league appearances for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, and will become Louis van Gaal’s fourth signing this summer, after the Dutchman bought Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo in the current transfer window.
With just a few more days before the window shuts down, the 63-year-old is also eager to bring in a defender as he looks to restructure the side after a disappointing seventh place finish in the Premier League last season.
The English giants have already had a poor start to the new season after managing just one point in their first two outings against Swansea City and Sunderland, and Van Gaal will be hoping to turn the tables around in the upcoming fixtures.
