West Ham make loan bid for Alex Song

West Ham have made a loan bid for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song. The Cameroonian has told his club that he would like to leave in search of regular first team action.
Several Premier League sides have been reportedly linked with a move for Song, including the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle and his former club Arsenal.
However West Ham are the new favourites to wrap up a transfer. Sam Allardyce is hopeful that he can attract the defensive midfielder to move to Upton Park on a short term deal and prove that he can do a job in the Premier League.
The Hammers will reportedly pay 1 million euros if they are able to secure a deal for the midfielder.
