Chelsea confirm sale of Fernando Torres

Chelsea have confirmed that Fernando Torres will make a move to AC Milan to replace Mario Balotelli. The Spanish international will sign a two year loan contract at the San Siro.

The striker struggled to adapt to life at the West London club, despite having a hugely successful spell playing for Liverpool prior to that.

It is understood that AC Milan have paid around 10 million euros up front for the striker, who has fallen down the pecking order after the arrival of Didier Drogba and Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge.

Torres is hoping that a move to Serie A will kick start his struggling career.
