Arsenal enquire on Man City striker

Arsenal have apparently made an enquiry over the availability of Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo, according to a report.

The Gunners are understood to be keen on signing a top-class striker before the transfer deadline.

Recent reports have revealed that the club have had a bid knocked back for Sevilla star Carlos Bacca.

However, TalkSPORT presenter Stan Collymore has just tweeted that the North London giants have made an enquiry over the possibility of signing Negredo.

"Hearing Arsenal have or are making tentative Negredo enquiries," read the tweet.

Valencia have also been linked with the player's services in recent weeks.
