Arsenal defender ruled out for two months
French international Mathieu Debuchy looks set to miss a minimum of two months of first-team action with an ankle injury sustained during Arsenal's 2-2 draw against Manchester City during the weekend.
The talented right-back, who joined the Gunners from Newcastle United in the summer, landed awkwardly on his left leg before being taken off the field via a stretcher at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had recently revealed that the injury was not a minor one, with the 29-year-old likely to have a scan on Monday.
However, French publication Le Parisien claims that the former Lille star could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines, which could see him miss a set of crucial fixtures at the North London outfit.
Arsenal are currently seventh in the Premier League table.
