Man City to open talks for Ross Barkley in January?

Manchester City are ready to smash transfer records to sign Ross Barkley in the January transfer window. The Citizens are to make an offer for the midfielder that will make him the most expensive English teenager in history.

The highly rated midfielder is currently out of action through injury but that has not stopped Manuel Pellegrini from showing interest in the player.

The central midfielder was a part of England's World Cup campaign in Brazil and is expected to play regularly for his national side for many years to come.

Man City have already been speaking internally about a move for the player and it is understood the club will pay as much as 50 million pounds to wrap up a deal for Barkley.
