Man Utd make bid for Italian defender Bonucci?
Manchester United have approached Juventus regarding a move for central defender Leonardo Bonucci. The Italian international, 27, is reportedly not for sale but Man Utd are hopeful a 25 million euro offer will tempt the Turin side to sell.
Bonucci was one of the squad that represented Italy in the World Cup in Brazil and after some positive showings, several teams were believed to have contacted Juventus regarding the 6 foot 3 centre back's availability.
Juve have continously denied that Bonucci is for sale, but Man Utd are prepared to test the Serie A side with an enormous bid for the defender.
Man Utd have struggled so far this season in defence, with the likes of Phil Jones out through injury and United needing to call upon Tyler Blackett for defensive duties.
Bonucci has previously played for Bari, Treviso and Inter Milan before joining the 'Old Lady' in 2010.
