Roma midfielder on Liverpool radar

Liverpool are considering a January move for Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic, according to a report.

The Bosnian international played a fundamental role in sealing Roma's return to the Champions League, as they finished runners-up to Juventus in the Serie A.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be a huge fan of the player's trickery and passing, and considers him as one of the prime targets to strengthen his midfield department.

TalkSPORT claims that the Merseysiders are on the search for a successor to Gerrard in the midfield role, and Pjanic is a name high on the list.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has also been linked with a switch to the Anfield giants.
