David Moyes favourite to replace Alan Pardew at Newcastle United

Former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes is currently considered as the number one candidate for the Magpies job, if owner Mike Ashley decides to sack Alan Pardew.

Newcastle United have had a torrid run in the Premier League this season, and currently find themselves at the foot of the league standings.

Having brought in a number of top-notch players to the club during the summer, it was expected that the Tyneside outfit would compete for a top-half finish at the least.

However, with results staring down the barrel, the sacking of Pardew could be on the cards, should the club fail to register a win in their next Premier League clash.

Newcastle United visit Stoke City in their next league encounter on Monday night.
