Arsenal consider Ancelotti for manager's role

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing up Carlo Ancelotti as manager, should Arsene Wenger join former AS Monaco at the end of the season.

The principality club are believed to be keen on Wenger's return to the club, as they consider him to have the potential to succeed with a limited transfer budget.

According to The Express, the Gunners are worried that Wenger could be tempted into a switch to Monaco, where he enjoyed seven successful seasons between 1987 and 1994.

The report adds that the North London outfit could opt for current Real boss Carlo Ancelotti as the number one alternative, should the Frenchman bid adieu to the club in the summer.

Arsenal play away at Anderlecht in the Champions League later tonight.
