Arsenal chase Lars Bender?

Arsenal are reportedly looking at the possibility of making a move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender, according to The Express.

The German international is considered as a top transfer target for the Gunners, having seen their pursuit for Real Madrid star Sami Khedira come to a stall.

The Express claims that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants to sign a top-class holding midfielder in the winter transfer window, and considers Bender as a perfect alternative for Khedira at the Emirates.

The report adds that the North London outfit could get their hands on the talented midfielder for a fee of around £19m in the New Year.
