Khedira signs pre-contract with Bayern Munich: Reports
Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has reportedly signed a pre-contract to join Bayern Munich in the summer next year.
The 27-year-old’s contract with the Spanish club is due to expire in June and with no talks of a contract extension so far, the player will be available for a free transfer.
Khedira had been a top transfer target for both Chelsea and Arsenal this summer but a deal couldn’t be finalised then, and both the clubs were keen on bringing the player to the Premier League once the window opened in January.
But with Luka Modric out for the next three months due to an injury, Carlo Ancelotti will be looking to retain the player till the end of the season, and if reports in Spanish radio Cadena Ser are to be believed, the German international, who has just made four league appearances this season, has agreed to return to the Bundesliga with the Bavarians in the summer.
Khedira had joined the Santiago Bernabeu side from Vfb Stuttgart in 2010 and has made 150 appearances for the Whites across all competitions since then.
