Liverpool front-runners to sign Winston Reid

Liverpool are reportedly considered favourites to sign West Ham United defender Winston Reid in the winter transfer window, according to The Mirror.

The New Zealand international is out of contract at the Hammers next summer, and manager Sam Allardyce is understood to be keen on cashing in on his services in the New Year.

The Mirror claims that the 26-year-old is keen on moving to a big challenge in the upcoming transfer window, with Liverpool keen on securing his signature.

Arsenal, who had been earlier linked with a move for Reid, have pulled out of the race to focus on signing Ipswich Town's Tyrone Mings.
