Crystal Palace to sign Ashley Cole on loan?

Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a loan deal for former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole, as per The Mail.

Ashley Cole joined AS Roma from Chelsea on a free transfer over the summer, and has since then failed to cement his place in the first-team setup.

According to The Mail, the Eagles boss Neil Warnock is keen on strengthening his back-line in January, and could make a temporary move for the former England international.

The report adds that the 33-year-old could favour the loan switch, given his lack of first-team action at Roma.
