Liverpool to bid for Paco Alcacer

Liverpool are lining up a January bid for Valencia striker Paco Alcacer, Metro reports.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is well aware of the club's lack of strength in the striking department and is keen on signing a new striker in the current transfer window.

According to Metro, the Reds are ready to trigger Alcacer's release clause which currently stands at £14.1m.

Liverpool are currently eighth in the Premier League.
