Arsenal weigh up Tiote swoop
Arsenal are reportedly considering a shock move for Newcastle United defensive midfielder Cheick Tiote, according to The Star.
The Ivory Coast international was associated with a move to the Gunners in 2013 during his prime with the Magpies.
However, Tiote has failed to impress on a regular basis over the past two seasons, due to the drastic changes in the squad at the Tyneside outfit.
The Star claims that Wenger wants an additional holding midfielder at the club to accompany Francis Coquelin, and considers the African star as the perfect fit for the role.
Arsenal are currently fifth in the Premier League with 39 points.
