Valencia and Liverpool battle for Man City Milner's signature

England international midfielder James Milner is wanted by both Valencia and Liverpool. The Man City man's contract will expire shortly and he has yet to have opened talks over a new contract.

Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to keep hold of the former Leeds United man but Milner is holding out for a contract worth almost double his current deal.

Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of Milner and Valencia have also sent scouts to watch the City star in action. Milner is said to be interested in a move to Spain and is already able to open talks over a contract now.
