Arsenal bid for 'boyhood' club fan

Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for one of Bundesliga's best, according to a report.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Grosskreutz is regarded as top transfer target for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and The Star claims that the North London outfit have bid around £3.7m to secure the 26-year-old's services.

Grosskreutz has just 18 months left in his existing deal at Dortmund, and given the club's poor form in the Bundesliga, a deal could be struck before the conclusion of the transfer window.

The German international has the ability to play at either defence or holding midfield.
