Liverpool interested in Bittencourt

Liverpool are eyeing up a move for Hannover 86 midfielder Leonardo Bittencourt, according to a German source.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to be keen on strengthening the club in all departments this month.

German Sports daily Bild claims that the Merseysiders have been scouting Bittencourt over the past month and could launch an offer for the 21-year-old before the transfer deadline on January 31.

Liverpool are currently eighth in the Premier League.
