Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista has international ambitions

Arsenal's newest signing Gabriel Paulista hopes that moving to the Premier League will boost his international opportunities. The defender joined last week from Villarreal.
The Brazilian is in line to make a debut against Aston Villa this weekend and is hoping that he will one day play alongside either Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny on a regular basis.
The Arsenal move is sure to improve his chances of playing for Brazil's national team and he told reporters: “To get in the Brazil squad would be sensational and perhaps, now I am at Arsenal, I will have more chances to do that.
"With a lot of hard work and effort it will be possible to fulfil my dreams. I am a realistic person and I have come to Arsenal to help, to work and to learn, because I am convinced it is very difficult to triumph in the Premier League.
“In the days leading up to my move I was obsessed with it – if it was not possible I would have stayed at Villarreal and waited for another chance. But now I am here I promise to work, work and work.”
