Liverpool eye Alex Mowatt swoop

Liverpool are believed to be tracking the progress of Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt, with a view to a summer offer for his services.

The 20-year-old has been in good form for Leeds United, in what has been a below-par campaign for the Yorkshire outfit.

According to The Mirror, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had sent scouts to watch the talented midfielder in action in recent weeks.

The report adds that Rodgers has been impressed by the positive feedback brought back to him, and would consider the prospect of signing the former England Under-19 international during the summer transfer window.
