Spurs plot Islam Slimani swoop

Tottenham Hotspur look favourites to sign Algerian international Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon this summer.

The talented striker, who impressed for his national side at last year's World Cup finals in Brazil, has notched up 10 goals in 24 games for the Primeira Liga outfit this season.

However, Portuguese daily O Jogo claims that Sporting are ready to cash in of the 26-year-old, with Spurs considered to be leading the queue for his signature.

Slimani rebuffed an offer from West Ham United last summer.
