Man Utd lead chase for Roberto Firmino

Manchester United are reportedly heading the pursuit to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Roberto Firmino this summer.

The Brazilian attacker, who has been associated with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months, is regarded as top transfer target for Louis van Gaal.

According to Metro, the Red Devils are ready to pounce on the player's signature ahead of the summer transfer window, and a bid of around £18.6m is likely to be made in the next few weeks.

Firmino has notched up six goals and seven assists in 25 league games for Hoffenheim this season.
