Arsenal agree fee for Portuguese sensation

Arsenal are believed to have agreed a £21m transfer fee for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, according to The Telegraph.

The Portuguese international was linked with a switch to the Emirates last summer, but the Gunners failed to make a move go through.

Manchester United and Liverpool have shown interest in the 23-year-old in recent weeks, but The Telegraph claims that Carvalho will favour a switch to the English top flight with the North London giants.

Carvalho has made 34 appearances for Sporting this season.
