Stoke City target Bayern Munich defender

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is reportedly keen on strengthening his defensive department this summer by securing the signature of Bayern Munich defender Mitchell Weiser.

The 21-year-old's existing deal at the Bavarian giants expires in the summer, and manager Pep Guardiola is seemingly unwilling to offer him a new deal.

According to The Mirror, the Potters have joined Everton and a whole host of Bundesliga clubs in the pursuit for the player's services.

Weiser, who has struggled for regular first-team football this term, joined Bayern from FC Koln in 2012.
