Aston Villa target Emmanuel Adebayor

Aston Villa  are hoping to sign up Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor during the summer transfer window.

The Togo international has fallen out-of-favour at Spurs, and is likely to be one among many players set to exit White Hart Lane this summer.

According to ESPN, Villans boss Tim Sherwood is keen on signing up an experience striker, with Belgian star Christian Benteke believed to be in talks with Liverpool regarding a possible move.

Aston Villa finished the league season in 17th place with 38 points.
