Chelsea closing on Drenthe

De Telegraaf in Holland says Feyenoord coach Bert van Marwijk is pressing his board to accept Chelsea's most recent offer for Royston Drenthe for £9m. The wing back had been linked with Real Madrid.

However, Real Madrid appeared to pull out of the deal recently leaving Drenthe's future up in the air. Jose Mourinho now has expressed an interest in the talented young Dutchman who performed so well in the U-21 championships for Holland recently.
