Arsenal to seal first summer signing next week

Arsenal are close to recruiting their first player of the summer, according to a report.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has earlier stated of his desire to remain in London, should he make away from the Premier League champions.

According to The Mail, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is confident of signing up the Czech international for a fee of around £11m in the upcoming week.

Cech joined the Blues from French side Rennes in the summer of 2004.
