John Obi Mikel to leave Chelsea this summer

Nigerian international John Obi Mikel will depart from Premier League champions Chelsea during the upcoming transfer window.

The midfield enforcer failed to feature on a regular basis for the West London giants last season, with Jose Mourinho favouring the likes of Ramires, Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic for the holding midfield role.

According to Evening Standard, Mikel will end his nine-year association with the Blues this summer, with interest high for his services from Turkey and the Middle East.

Mikel started just five league games for the Blues last season.
