Liverpool consider Salomon Rondon swoop

Liverpool could make a move for Zenit St.Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon this summer, should they fail to acquire the services of Christian Benteke.

The Mirror reports that the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing a top-class striker in the upcoming transfer window, with the likes of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert set to depart from Anfield.

Venezuelan international Salomon Rondon has been in good form for both country and club in recent seasons, and Rodgers could seek to bring in the 25-year-old, if they fail to land Benteke's signature this summer.
