Man City plot James McCarthy move

Manchester City are considering a summer move for Everton midfielder James McCarthy following Fabian Delph's decision to back out on a transfer to the Etihad,

Delph was expected to make his move to the Mancunian giants having seen both clubs agree on an £8m fee.

However, Delph rejected the move as it would affect his chances of featuring for the English national side.

The Express reports that the Citizens will look to McCarthy following their failure to sign up Delph.

League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the Republic of Ireland international.
