Chelsea plan bid for Aleksandar Mitrovic

Chelsea will look to hijack Newcastle United's bid to sign highly-rated Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic in the summer.

The talented youngster was impressive during Anderlecht's Champions League campaign last season.

Newcastle United have been in negotiations to sign up the 20-year-old in recent months, but The Star cites that the Blues are hoping to beat the Magpies to the signing of the £15m-rated striker.

Mitrovic scored an impressive tally of 28 goals in 51 games for the Belgian giants last season.
