Eduardo compared to Fowler
Eduardo compared to Fowler
Arsenal's Croatian striker Eduardo has been compared by Arsene Wenger to a 'young Robbie Fowler'. Fowler was considered one of the best finishers in the Premiership at his prime, and Eduardo again proved today he can become a star for the Gunners as he scored the opening goal against West Ham.
âEduardo has the look of a young Robbie Fowler in his finishing attitude,â said Wenger on the clubâs official website.
âHe has short control, a short backlift and quick finishing. It does not always look spectacular but it is always out of reach of the goalkeeper.
âI think these goals could be important for his confidence because he is still adapting to the English game. You could see that because he had a difficult first half but he scored two away at Blackburn (in Carling Cup) and two at Everton so that tells you he is something special.â
