Man Utd unlikely to sign a new striker this summer

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly willing to stick with his forward options for the new season.

Multiple reports have suggested that the Mancunian giants could seek to bring in a new striker following Robin van Persie's departure to Fenerbahce.

However, PA Sport cites that the Dutchman intends to play club captain Wayne Rooney in the centre-forward role for the upcoming campaign.

It is added that summer signing Memphis Depay could be the man to provide support to the England international upfront next season.
