Liverpool in talks to sign REAL MADRID STAR

Liverpool have began negotiations over a £14.2m deal to sign Real Madrid winger Dennis Cheryshev, Metro reports.

The Russian international had a great spell on loan at Villareal last season, and this has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs this summer.

Metro cites that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has told the club's hierarchy to seal a deal for the 24-year-old winger before the transfer deadline.

Cheryshev scored seven goals in 40 appearances for the Yellow Submarines in all competitions last season.
