Aston Villa join Tore pursuit

Aston Villa will reportedly rival Manchester City in the chase to sign Besiktas midfielder Gokhan Tore.

The Turkey international had been linked with a move to the Citizens over the summer, but a deal never materialised.

Milliyet now understands that the Villains have become the latest club to be interested in a deal for the talented playmaker.

It is added that manager Tim Sherwood had sent scouts to watch the player in action against Fenerbahce on Sunday.

Tore has notched 14 goals in 83 games for the Turkish side till date.
