Maniche joins Inter Milan

Portuguese midfielder Maniche is set to complete a six-month loan deal to Inter Milan from Atletico Madrid. Maniche's boss Javier Aguirre had deemed the ex-Chelsea midfielder as surplus to requirements and Maniche will go to Italy with a view to a permanent move.

As part of the contract, Inter will have the option to sign Maniche on a permanent basis at the end of the season for 6 million Euros.

Tottenham and Man City have been chasing the Portuguese international midfielder for a permanent deal, but it seemed the Portuguese international saw his future in Serie A instead.

Olivier Dacourt, Luis Figo, Patrick Vieira and Dejan Stankovic were all injured at Inter and Maniche has come in to fill in.
